‘u,i ’ is a brilliant exploration of mediated modern communication.
A Splendid Ornament
A Splendid Ornament is an album for mechanically distorted piano. Depending on the changes in temperature and humidity, the piano produced different kinds of sonic artifacts that introduced various qualities of distortion. The artifacts couldn't be reproduced on other days so all the recordings are a unique documentation of the piano sound on a given day.
